Every day, people come into my office for help with relationships: their relationship with themselves, with others, with their bodies, or beliefs. Many come for support when attachments and bonds have shifted. Perhaps there was a loss, a change in roles, or unmet expectations. Others come because they recognize negative thoughts and behaviors they would like to change. Maybe life just doesn't feel as fulfilling as it used to.
Relationships are tricky and beautiful and painful and fun -- sometimes all in the same day. I get it. I've been there. It can be confusing and overwhelming. In fact, some of these changes can be life-altering and soul-shaping. But you don't have to figure this out alone. I strongly believe we were meant to live in community with others as we live fulfilling and meaningful lives in an unpredictable world.
Hi, I'm Kate and welcome to my practice. Perhaps you are beginning to recognize that something isn't working; one, or maybe all, of these relationships are in trouble and you are bravely looking for answers. You may have come to desire change or long for relief from pain. I believe therapy can be a catalyst for healing. This is a safe space. You are welcome here no matter your background or belief.
I look forward to partnering with you in a therapeutic relationship to offer hope, support, and an environment in which you can begin to heal. If you are ready to begin this process, let's talk.
"When we become aware that we do not have to escape our pains, but that we
can mobilize them into a common search for life, those very pains are transformed
from expressions of despair into signs of hope."
